CCEL are adding to their Cathodic Protection services by providing computerised modelling of Induced AC Faults and the mitigation of induced AC Voltages and Currents.
In recent years the UK has identified more and more buried pipelines that have suffered from severe external corrosion caused by this phenomenon. Increasingly, the onus has been on the Cathodic Protection designers to determine the likely presence of this and to come up with the requirements for mitigation. As Clients have demanded certain criteria are achieved, previously accepted rudimentary testing and installations are no longer acceptable. The debates on criteria will go on however, the assessment and mitigation processes have necessarily taken a larger leap in complexity.
CCEL have agreed to utilise the services of Corrpro Inc. Engineers who have extensive experience and training in provision of computerised modelling. We have recognised that in order to stay ahead of the growing competition in this field and maintain our high standing Cathodic Protection Services in Europe and Worldwide, we must now provide this Service. Initially, CCEL field technicians will gather the data required for the model input. Our colleagues in the USA will process the data and provide the output for recommendation to our Clients.
The model utilised by Corrpro Inc. has a worldwide track record. The Engineers who support this have an extensive experience both in Cathodic Protection and Induced AC Mitigation.
